Position Overview

Osner’s FC is seeking a passionate and community-oriented Hispanic Community Coordinator to serve as a liaison between the Hispanic community and our club. This role is instrumental in fostering inclusiveness, building meaningful relationships, and promoting engagement within the Hispanic community. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a commitment to enhancing community ties through soccer.


Key Responsibilities

  • Community Outreach: Actively engage with Hispanic community members, organizations, and businesses to promote the club’s initiatives and activities.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute culturally relevant events and programs to encourage participation and support from the Hispanic community.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with community leaders, schools, and local organizations to foster collaboration and inclusivity.
  • Translation and Communication: Provide translation support for club materials, announcements, and events to ensure accessibility for Spanish-speaking audiences.
  • Marketing and Advocacy: Work with the marketing team to create content and campaigns that resonate with the Hispanic community.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Serve as the voice of the Hispanic community by gathering feedback, identifying community needs, and presenting insights to club leadership.
  • Representation: Represent the club at community meetings, cultural events, and other relevant gatherings to enhance visibility and engagement.

Requirements

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong understanding of Hispanic cultures and traditions, particularly those represented in the Brooklyn area.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in community engagement, event planning, or outreach preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as required by community events and games.
  • Passion for soccer and its role in uniting diverse communities.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite) is a plus.

Credentials

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework or a degree in communications, social work, community development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in community outreach or coordination is highly desirable.

Hourly Wage

  • Entry-Level: $18–$22/hour (0–2 years of experience).
  • Mid-Level: $22–$28/hour (2–5 years of experience).
  • Experienced Professionals: $28–$35/hour (5+ years of experience or specialized skills).
